Hooks Institute Gala Honors African American Men

Hooks Gala

On April 9, 2015, The Hooks Institute held its annual gala: Join Hands for Change Gala: Empowering, Supporting, and Celebrating African American Men.  Proceeds from the Gala will help fund a Hooks Institute pilot initiative to increase the retention and graduation rates of African American men at the University of Memphis. Additionally, Gala proceeds will help fund existing Hooks Institute programs.

You can support the work of the Hooks Institute and this initiative by making a donation using the links on this page. Thank you for visiting with us and we look forward to seeing you at one of our public events!
